YOUTH LEADERS' RETREAT IN THE NORTH EAST RWANDA FIELD

The retreat convened AY leaders at the local church level, the AY committee at the district level, the AY committee at the station, and the AY committee at the Field level. A total of 223 AY members attended the retreat. This retreat was held at Nyagatare University SDA Church on the 21/04/2024

The guest of honor was the AY director at the Union level, Pr. Rukundo Esaie. The theme of the retreat was: “Come back to our source” as per Jeremiah 6:16: “Thus saith the LORD, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein.”

The objective was to realign AY members with the department’s main purpose of Salvation and Service.

Reflecting on the department’s inception, it became evident that its founders aimed to save souls. The Union Youth Director reviewed this year’s departmental programs, urging AY members’ participation and reminding them of the department’s program, encouraging compliance.
