The Matimba District was formed in 2007 with 8 churches, 4 companies, and 1585 members. Despite its humble beginnings, the district has seen significant growth and development over the years, increasing its membership to 6148 and adding 2 companies. The district operates in the Matimba and Musheli sectors, which have also seen an increase in population over the years. The establishment of the Matimba District is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its pastors, leaders, and members who have worked tirelessly in accordance with the teachings of the Bible and the principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to bring the light of the gospel to the people of the Matimba District.
It is worth noting that the population of these sectors compared to the church members is relatively low, but the district’s leaders, pastors and members continue to work hard to spread the gospel and increase the number of believers in the district. The formation of the Matimba District is a milestone in the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and serves as a reminder of the dedicated efforts of its members in spreading the word of God.
