In 2012, the Nyakigando, organized with 1196 members, 4 churches and 1 company, was merged with the Ngarama. The Katabagemu sector has a total of 40,402 inhabitants. The Nyagatare sector has a total of 54,214 inhabitants, and Karangazi sector, has a total of 57,444 inhabitants. At the time of the establishment, the Nyakigando had a total of 4260 members. This establishment marked a significant moment in the history of Nyakigando district, as it allowed for greater resources and coordination in spreading the gospel message and reaching more people. The merger of these two Districts is an important event in the history of the Seventh-day Adventist church in that region, and it helped to increase the effectiveness of the church’s mission.
