Gakoni District was Established around the year 1944, it is one of the first 4 district in the Union that started with not many members, it also gave birth to the provinces of Rukara and Karambi! now it has 16 churches and 2 companies, members are 6900; and it works in 4 sectors Kiramuruzi, Kiziguro, Murambi and Gasenga have a population of 121,059, or 6% members.
