The District of Rubagabaga was expanded in 2013, comprising of Kabarore, Nyagatare, and Bugaragara. At the beginning, there were 3156 Adventists organized in 18 churches and Companies, however, due to the destruction of the Gatebe district which took Akayange and the military camp which took Gabiro, the number of churches and Companies reduced to 16. Currently, the District of Rubagabaga has about 4900 Adventists organized in 9 churches and 7 Companies. The District only operates in the Karangazi Sector, which according to the 2012 census, has a population of 57444 people.
It is clear that the number of Adventists is still relatively small compared to the population of the Sector, with an average of 8 Adventists per 100 people. But as the scripture says in Matthew 19:26, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” The District continues to pray and work diligently to expand the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s ministry in the Region through the formation of new Companies, trusting that God will continue to bless their efforts and bring more people to salvation through Jesus Christ.
