We are delighted to share that progress is being made on the construction of Nyagatare University Church, a Seventh-day Adventist congregation in Rwanda. According to recent reports, the construction work of this church is progressing steadily towards completion
One of the most exciting developments is the building of a house of prayer for children, which is an
investment in the future of the Adventist Church in the area. Children’s ministries are a priority for
Seventh-day Adventists, and having a dedicated space for children to learn about God and grow in their
faith is a blessing. As the Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when
he is old he will not depart from it.”
Additionally, a meeting room with a guest residence is being constructed, which will provide a space for
meetings and accommodations for visiting guests. This is important for the church’s outreach efforts, as
it will allow them to host events and provide hospitality to those who come from near and far.
A fence is also being built around the compound, which will provide security and privacy for those using
the facilities. This will allow the Adventist Church to be a safe and welcoming space for all who come to
worship and fellowship together.
As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe that the construction of a church building is a symbol of the growth and vitality of a local congregation. The dedication of a new church building is often accompanied by a service of consecration, in which the building is set apart for God’s use and His presence is invited to dwell there.
We are grateful to God for the progress that has been made on the construction of Nyagatare University
Church, and we pray that His hand will continue to guide and bless the efforts of those involved in the
construction. May the Adventist Church and its facilities be a place of worship, fellowship, and growth for
many years to come, and may they be a shining light of hope and love in the community they serve.
