From December 29th to the 31st of 2022, a retreat was held, entitled “Beyond the Appearance” and it was attended by around 809 individuals who were eager to learn and grow in their spiritual journey. The retreat was based on the biblical principle of “Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment” (John 7:24) and aimed to help participants look beyond the surface level and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them through the lens of faith.
During the retreat, attendees participated in group presentations and discussions based on different biblical verses and principles. These sessions were led by experienced pastors and theologians who were able to provide valuable insights and knowledge on how to apply the word of God in daily life. In addition to the general group sessions, there were also special groups for specific audiences. A women’s group for pastors was held, as well as a junior group for MIFEM, which was based on the verse “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6)
All in attendance were able to gain new insights and knowledge from the presentations and group discussions, and they were encouraged to apply it to their lives through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The retreat was a success and all who attended left feeling enlightened and energized in their spiritual journey. Many participants commented on how the retreat helped them to see beyond appearances and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them through the eyes of faith, and how it helped them to strengthen their relationship with God, leaving the retreat with a renewed sense of purpose and motivation to continue growing and learning in their personal and spiritual lives.

The retreat was a gathering of important figures within the MIFEM organization, including the President of the Union level and her husband, the Field Director and his wife, the Executive Secretary and her husband, the Field Treasurer and his wife, deacons, pastors’ wives, and a few pastors. They all came together for a time of learning and growth, eager to gain new insights and knowledge from the presentations and group discussions.
The President of the Union level, accompanied by her husband, was a central figure at the retreat. Also in attendance were the Field Director and his wife, the Executive Secretary and her husband, the Field Treasurer and his wife, deacons, pastors’ wives and a few pastors. They were all excited to be a part of this special event, and to learn and grow together as a community. The retreat was a great opportunity for them to come together, share their experiences and knowledge and to gain a deeper understanding of their faith.
