On July 3, 2026, El Paso Adventist Elementary School celebrated the completion of the 2025–2026 academic year and held its Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony. El Paso is a Seventh-day Adventist kindergarten and primary school located in Barija A Village, Nyagatare Sector, Nyagatare District.

The school was established during the 2024–2025 academic year, beginning with three kindergarten levels and one primary school grade. Currently, it offers all three kindergarten levels and four grades of primary education.

The celebration began with a parade involving students, teachers, and some parents. They marched through Nyagatare Town in an impressive procession, dressed in attractive uniforms and led by a musical band.

Following the parade, the ceremony officially commenced with an opening prayer led by Pastor Faustin Nsengiyumva. Students from all levels then demonstrated their knowledge and talents through various performances, including educational presentations and poetry recitations.

Several leaders delivered remarks during the event. The speeches began with the school director, Mrs. Joy Iranzi, who welcomed the guests. She was followed by Mr. Emmanuel Gatanazi, the parents’ committee chairperson, who expressed appreciation to the school and the church leadership for the quality education and moral training they provide.

Next, the President of the North East Rwanda Field reviewed the history of the school and thanked the parents who had chosen to entrust their children to the institution. He also reminded those present of the three pillars upon which the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is built: evangelism, education, and health ministry.

He then invited the Executive Secretary of Nyagatare Sector to address the gathering. In his remarks, the official commended the school, the parents, and the church leadership for their contributions and reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to continued cooperation and partnership.

The ceremony concluded with the cutting of a celebratory cake, followed by a fellowship meal and social gathering attended by all the guests.
